P.O.W.: Prisoners of War, released on Japan as Datsugoku – Prisoners of War, is a classic side scrolling beat ’em up where two military men escape from captivity and open their way to the enemy’s base and try to foil their plans.
In order to accomplish this, they must defeat a variety of enemies, who will attack them hand-to-hand, with knives, guns, grenades and from helicopters. To fight back, the soldiers, Snake and Bart, can use their deadly combat skills and any weapons, such as knives and guns, they can get their hands on.
Developed by SNK and originally released in 1988 to the arcades, P.O.W.: Prisoners of War is, as we said before, a classic. It has awesome graphics, a great BGM and a nice theme that reminds us classic movies from the 80s.
What we have here is the original American arcade version of this beat ’em up ready to be played online, on your browser, alone or with a friend in the same computer.
