X-Men: Second Coming

Inspired by the X-Men story arch of the same name and Capcom's X-Men: Children of The Atom.

X-Men: Second Coming is a fighting game based on the Marvel saga of the same name that was published on the X-Men comics in 2010, from March to July, on the USA. It was developed on M.U.G.E.N by The Project X team and initially released December 11, 2010, with a 1.0 version coming out on October 11, 2011.

It features several characters and elements from Capcom original titles, albeit edited and combined in an original fashion. It’s also very well done, bringing the characters edited in order to look like they are in this arc, along with additional mutants. It has 20 playable chars, 20 levels plus bonus ones, original soundtrack (by WizzyWhipitWonderful) and a retro style from the old CPS-2 fighting games.

While the project is clearly inspired by the X-Men: Children of The Atom, having many of its resources and moves, you should note that the gameplay is different from the original to the point that it can be a good option to please both the ones that want extend the original game experience and the ones that just want a free substitute.
