X-Men: Second Coming is a fighting game based on a Marvel saga that features several characters and elements from Capcom original titles, albeit edited and combined in an original fashion.
Developed on M.U.G.E.N. by The Project X team, X-Men: Second Coming is a 2D fighting fan game based on a Marvel’s arc of the same name that was published on the X-Men comics in 2010, from March to July, on the USA.
The game was released on 2011 and is very well done, featuring the characters edited in order to look like they are in this arc, along with additional mutants. It has 20 playable chars, 20 levels plus bonus ones, original soundtrack (by WizzyWhipitWonderful) and a retro style from the old CPS-2 fighting games.
While the project is clearly based on the X-Men: Children of The Atom, having many of its resources and moves, you should note that the gameplay is different from the original to the point that it can be a good option to please both the ones that want extend the original game experience and the ones that just want a free substitute.
