Stunts (also known as 4D Sports Driving) is the epic and fun classic 3D racing video game developed by Distinctive Software and published by Brøderbund in October 1990, for MS-DOS, Amiga and NEC PC-1990. What we have here for you is its DOS version set to be played online, in your browser.
In Stunts, you will race a lap around circuits trying to make the best time possible and set your record. The tracks can have special features such as loops, jumps (including over tall buildings), snow roads, elevations and corkscrews. The player can try to race alone or challenge one of the six opponents. There are also 11 cars based on real vehicles, including a Formula Indy one.
One of the highlights of the game is the built-in track and terrain editor which allows the player to create or edit tracks. Added to that, you can save and watch replays of the races.
The game’s fully-3D polygonal graphics were stunning and revolutionary at that time and was clearly influenced by the arcade game Hard Drivin’ (1989) and had similar elements to Stunt Driver (1990). also had similar graphics and game structure from the Test Drive series, also developed by DSI.
This game has one of those old copy protections and it’s not cracked. Before driving in Stunts, you must first “disable the car’s security system”. In order to do it, just refer to the Stunts Car Security System and get the correct answer for its respective question.
