Star Wars Arcade Remake - Battle of Yavin

Star Wars Arcade Remake – Battle of Yavin is a homebrew fangame that features a modernized recreation of the Battle of Yavin from Star Wars Trilogy Arcade, a 1998 Sega‘s arcade rail shooter. It was developed by Stefano Cagnani (Steven Games Studio) and initially released on October 22, 2023.

Published for Windows by Stefano himself, Star Wars Arcade Remake – Battle of Yavin maintains the theme and perspective behind the ship from the original, but gives the player much more freedom of control, coming close to a third-person shooter, although without discarding the rail shooter component. From what I could see, it’s like Galaxy Force, but with the ability to change the direction of the ship quite a bit.

In addition, according to its author, Star Wars Arcade Remake – Battle of Yavin is, just like Star Wars Trilogy Arcade, quite difficult. It’s also free.
