Overview

Jackal (also known as Special Forces Jackal) is a classic run and gun shoot ’em up game released by Konami in 1986. It was later ported to several other systems, such as NES, FDS, ZX Spectrum, Commodore 64, IBM PC, Mobile phone and XBLA via Game Room.

This is the NES version.

In this game, you will run with a military Jeep armed with a heavy machine gun through the enemy territory to rescue your captured comrades. Some prisoners you rescue will give you power-ups or ammunition to keep the fight going, do that before they get airlifted out of the battlefield.

Get behind the wheels and maneuver across rough terrain filled with enemies and booby traps to rescue your POW comrades.

Controls

  • Arrow Keys: Movement (directional)
  • Z: A button
  • X: B button
  • Space Bar: Select
  • Enter: Start
  • To save your game: hover over the emulator screen and use the icons to save your progress. Down arrow icon (save), Up arrow icon (load).
