Atari Breakout is an official online and enhanced remake of the classic arcade game with blocks you need to destroy with a ball that moves straight around the screen, bouncing off the top and two sides.
This remake for browsers (HTML5) offers different modes: Double, Cavity or ‘Progressive, each with its unique gameplay experience. Double will give you control of two paddles at the same time. Cavity has two paddles, but initially only one ball. The other balls are contained inside walls and can be freed. In the Progressive mode the entire wall will come downwards step by step.
Breakout is originally an arcade game developed and published by Atari and released on May 13, 1976. It was conceptualized by Nolan Bushnell and Steve Bristow, influenced by the seminal Pong (1972). It later influenced another classic, Arkanoid.
