Overview

Developed by Godlimations and originally released on July 21, 2009, Vorago is a cinematic, horror-themed point-and-click adventure game inspired by Stephen King’s The Mist and the eerie atmosphere of Silent Hill. The title comes from the Latin word for “pit” or “abyss,” perfectly reflecting the game’s bleak and unsettling tone.

The story follows Ira and Jonathan, a married couple who have recently suffered the tragic loss of their daughter. While driving aimlessly, they are involved in a car accident and end up stranded near a remote town called Strathburg. As they arrive, a loud siren blares and a strange, oppressive fog engulfs the area.

Soon, the couple finds themselves trapped in a small gas station convenience store along with Seth, a zealous cop who believes the events are a sign of the End Times; Rick, a Dutch cashier; Amy, a young girl whose parents have vanished; and Tark, a teenager whose father is searching for the source of the fog. The tension rises quickly as monstrous, human-faced locusts begin to appear, forcing the survivors to confront not just the horrors outside, but their own fears and beliefs.

Dark, atmospheric, and heavily inspired by biblical themes — particularly the Book of Revelation — Vorago offers an intense narrative experience with plenty of moral ambiguity and psychological dread.
