Here we present the free demo version of Oaken, a roguelike strategy game where you can test your skills in a heroic journey with deck management.

Developed by Laki Studios, Oaken is a 2022 game set in a mythical world among the branches of the Great Oak. Its inhabitants are spirits who follow a mysterious voice known as the Oak Song. But when this voice disappears, a series of events threatens the Great Oak’s fate, leaving you to decide: will you heal or destroy it?

This indie turn-based strategy game with deck-building mechanics offers you the chance to prove your skills in an adventure where positioning and rotation are key to winning highly tactical battles. Explore a randomly generated world filled with levels, bosses, and events. You can also customize your spells and characters as you progress, ensuring depth while keeping the game accessible for all types of players.

About the game

The world of Oaken is a mythical place, existing in a not easily defined space and time. It is stretched among the branches of the Great Oak. Its inhabitants are spirits that listen to the same voice, called the Oak Song.

The loss of that voice starts a series of events leading to a struggle that may either heal or destroy the Great Oak.
