Nerd's Journey Halloween Night

Overview

Nerd’s Journey Halloween Night is an online 2D action and platform game for browsers (Flash) that follows some loser named Nerd, who leaves Happy Town without realizing he is entering Halloween Night, a place filled with monsters and magic. After passing the sign that said GO BACK, the freaking Nerd walked for a few minutes until everything suddenly changed: the sky grew darker, and shadows appeared from every corner. Terrified, he started running, wishing he had never come to such a place.

As he ran, he saw zombies and ghosts. In his panic, he crashed into a large green creature known as Dr. Monster. Screaming in fear, he jumped over the monster and kept running. After a while, he realized he was lost, then a loud sound echoed through the town, making him run again without looking — until he ran straight into a werewolf.

The Nerd screamed and darted into a tomb, where he found a Sleeping Mummy, and behind him, a vampire creeping toward him. Just as he was about to fall under the vampire’s gaze, he spotted a faint light and escaped.

At that moment, a witch flew past him, laughing and cackling nonstop. The Nerd kicked and screamed as he ran toward a lagoon — only for a Lagoon Monster to leap out at him. When the creature jumped, the Nerd’s clothes were splattered with green ooze. While trying to wring them out, he heard another sound behind him: another Lagoon Monster, reaching for him, but he dodged and ran as fast as he could.

Eventually, he reached a Pumpkin Field, where he spotted a man with a pumpkin for a head. The creature pulled off his own head and threw it at the Nerd, who ran faster and faster to avoid it, and that’s when he fell into a deep hole. As he plummeted, he saw all the monsters he had encountered falling with him, descending into the deep, deep ground.

When he hit the bottom, he felt as though a magical barrier had cushioned the impact, but not willing to take any chances, he kept moving inward, only to find a dead end. There was nothing there except a CD, and the only way out he could see was upward — where all the monsters he’d met were now gathering around him.

As the Nerd yelled for help, the CD began to spin and tremble. A huge burst of light shot out, pulling every monster into it. After the flash faded, all the monsters were gone and  the Nerd then felt as if he himself was being pulled toward the CD, as if it were calling to him.

Then the CD spoke inside his mind: “I have been waiting for you. Pick me up, and let’s save this world!”

At that moment, the Nerd understood why he had come to Halloween Night in the first place. When he grabbed the CD, a wave of magic surged through his entire body, and he smiled and began escaping that strange place — the beginning of a quest he would never forget.

About the Game

Nerd’s Journey Halloween Night is a retro-styled game that focuses on addictive gameplay, solid upgrades, and a variety of features. The main goal is to collect as many CDs as possible. It can be played by up to two friends in the same device!

By collecting CDs, the Nerd can transform into 9 different Halloween monsters, including:

The game features 6 levels, a built-in rank system, two comic-style cutscenes, and a full upgrade system. You earn money by fighting monsters and collecting CDs, which you’ll need to purchase upgrades.
