Decision 2: New City

Overview

Decision 2: New City is an online top-down browser shooter (Flash) and the first sequel to the original Decision game where, once again, the city is under siege by hordes of evil, stinky creatures, and it’s up to you to reclaim order. Move through the town, capture zones, and complete missions to bring every area under your control.

In this sequel, new weaponry, abilities, and gameplay mechanics add depth to your strategy. Each weapon now has an experience level granting a permanent damage bonus, encouraging you to master your arsenal instead of always relying on the most powerful options. Similarly, new abilities like Rage, Hacker, and Detector allow you to tailor your playstyle and maximize your profit from factories, ATMs, and controlled zones.

Decision 2 puts your leadership and strategy skills will be constantly tested regardless if you are establishing secure locations, defending against surprise attacks, or completing optional side missions. Don’t forget that, with the cash earned from missions and careful upgrades, you can expand your arsenal and enhance your abilities to handle even the toughest threats.

Controls

• WASD or Arrow Keys – Move

• Alternative Control (can be changed in options) – Move and aim with the mouse

Gameplay

• Explore the city, capture zones, and establish secure bases.
• Earn cash to upgrade weapons, abilities, and towers.
• Optional side missions (Clear the Zone, Kill the Boss) grant extra profit.
• Zones with towers may be randomly attacked, triggering Assault Position missions to defend them.
• Some missions let you find warehouses needed to upgrade weapons and abilities; Detector shows warehouse locations.
• You can choose to skip a day (Sleep), though it usually isn’t worth it.
• Survival challenges in outside areas test how many zombies you can kill before time runs out.
• Factory profits take 3 days to arrive via helicopter, reduced by the Yeet Business ability.

Weapons

• Each weapon has an experience level granting a permanent damage bonus.
• “Reward for Killing” determines profit from each weapon; melee always gives 100%, and weapon upgrades don’t affect it.
• Choosing the most powerful weapon isn’t always the best strategy.

Abilities

• Rage – Activate at will and upgrade its properties.
• Stability – Active ability that boosts its bonuses.
• Business – Increases factory profits and reduces waiting time.
• Hacker – Crack ATMs for faster, higher profits.
• Taunt – Attract enemies from a long distance.
• Detector – Radar showing enemy positions and important locations.

Other features

• Mines – Placeable explosives that detonate when enemies are near.
• Rage Injection – Special poisoned bullets to trigger enemy rage.
• Tower Mines / Tower Grenades – Upgrade towers to place mines or launch grenades.
• Explore zones (Ramble) for additional opportunities and hidden rewards.
• Natural threat increase is reduced to 4% compared to the first game.
